Another jobless day just passed. I was offered and declined unemployment benefits, yeah benefits, that's what they are called. Anyway, I told the the lady with the unaffected voice that thanks but not thanks because having taken said benefits I would have to say yes to the first person to offer me a job even if the job were mininum wage scrubbing the highway with a toothbrush. Not that there is anything wrong with min. wage jobs, but I can't survive on min. wage. Sure, right now I'm surviving on no wage but that's because I'm keeping my happy ass at home, with QVC blocked from the t.v., where I can't spend money I really don't have. I just don't have this urgent want to go out and look for a job. My mom always says that I won't find a job sitting at home in front of the computer, and she's right, mostly. I mean I've applied for jobs online, and I think I'll give it a week to see if anyone actually calls me from those applications before I actually start pounding the pavement. Well, except that in my hometown that pavement pounding will take exactly fifteen minutes and consist mostly of the shops that are housed at the mall. Not much options around here. I was looking into this whole work from home thing, but I'm not sure if any of those things are actually legit.
